Ukraine: Tulipe participates in ongoing humanitarian action

Humanitarian action in Ukraine: 36 emergency medical kits have been sent to help the Ukrainian population. The two tonnes of medical products left on Friday and arrived in the field on Sunday.

This operation is being carried out in coordination with the Crisis and Support Centre (CDCS) of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. The final beneficiaries are currently being identified due to the situation on the ground. These donations of medicines and medical equipment to Ukraine are taking place in a complex humanitarian context. According to UNOCHA (UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs), 2.9 million people are currently in need of assistance. A further donation to the French Disaster Relief Group is due to leave today, depending on the security situation.

Preparations for a new shipment of health products to Ukraine

In coordination with a partner NGO with significant experience in the country, Tulipe is attempting to organise a third medical donation to Ukraine as soon as possible. To achieve this, new partners will be identified if necessary. Tulipe systematically favours experienced organisations that work with local populations. Tulipe has therefore contacted its entire network and has begun to identify new partners in Ukraine and neighbouring countries.

This humanitarian action, a response to the current dramatic situation in Ukraine, has been made possible by donations made in recent months by Tulipe’s partner healthcare companies. Depending on developments in the situation and the state of its stocks, the association may have to make an appeal for support in the coming days.

Tulipe federates donations from healthcare companies to respond urgently, via its partners in the field, to the needs of populations in distress during acute health crises, natural disasters and conflicts.
