Tulipe and UPSA successfully launch their first skills sponsorship venture

On 2 and 3 December, two experts from the UPSA laboratory came to support Tulipe with a view to drawing up new specifications for its warehouse and preparing for a move that is due to take place within the next 6 months. This support was provided in the context of skills sponsorship. Unlike voluntary work, this involves the company making one or more of its employees available during their working hours to carry out actions in the public interest. Skills sponsorship therefore means that a company makes specific skills available to an association.

In this particular case, Tulipe was able to benefit from the expertise of a laboratory, which should facilitate the transition to a new warehouse and provide real added value for an association with limited human resources. The aim of this pilot project between Tulipe and UPSA is to encourage the introduction of future skill-sharing initiatives between the two organisations. In addition, this initial experience should also serve as an example for many of Tulipe’s pharmaceutical company partners, who would also like to support associations via the skills sponsorship scheme.
