Gaza – Tulipe contributes to the dispatch of emergency humanitarian aid by France

The Tulipe association is taking part in this solidarity operation in aid of NGOs working to support the population of Gaza. The 30,000 treatments divided into 58 Tulipe health product kits (3 tonnes of health products) will be donated to the Egyptian Red Crescent and to the Première Urgence Internationale teams in Gaza. This major support operation is being organised and coordinated by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.

At the request of the President of the Republic, France is chartering a special flight, coordinated by the Crisis and Support Centre (CDCS) of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, to deliver emergency humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

This 54-tonne humanitarian cargo for the people of Gaza includes :

Emergency medical kits consisting of a batch of medicines and hospital equipment to reinforce emergency structures and to treat up to 500 seriously injured people;

  • 58 trunks of medicines supplied by the Tulipe association and Première Urgence Internationale, with each trunk able to treat 500 patients (paediatrics, emergency and general medicine);
  • 18 emergency respirators;
  • 1,000 solar lamps and around ten generators donated by the NGO Electriciens sans frontières;
  • 336 tents to house one family each;
  • 28 tonnes of food supplements and 70,000 water purification tablets donated by the company NUTRISET.

This emergency humanitarian cargo will be transported by a plane made available by the CMA CGM Foundation, as part of its partnership with the Crisis and Support Centre, from Paris to Egypt. It will be handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent.

“This shipment is a further contribution by France to the response to the humanitarian emergency in Gaza, for the benefit of the civilian population. France reiterates its call for a humanitarian truce, so that aid can provide a lasting response to the needs of the civilian population in Gaza”, explained the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs in its press release.
