[Humanitarian aid in Lebanon] On 8 October 2024, a new joint humanitarian operation between France and Qatar enabled more than 27 tonnes of emergency medical equipment and essential goods to be transported to Beirut. The Tulipe association once again responded to the appeal from the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, notably by donating 7 kits of health products to support the Lebanese population affected by the crisis.
A total of 350 kilos of 7 health kits were flown to Lebanon and received by the NGOs in Beirut on 8 October. This operation is a continuation of the efforts made on 29 September 2024, when almost 12 tonnes of humanitarian aid were delivered to Lebanon. During this previous mission, the Tulipe association had already made a significant contribution with essential health kits, enabling hospitals and local NGOs to treat the injured and meet the needs of displaced populations. Tulipe, which federates the solidarity of companies in the health sector, has been recognised for 42 years for its responsiveness to global health emergencies.
Humanitarian aid in Lebanon: Tulipe member companies once again show their solidarity
Tulipe has once again mobilised its partners to provide essential medicines and medical devices. Thanks to this contribution, Lebanese health services and Lebanese Red Cross teams have been able to better respond to the growing needs of people affected by the conflict and massive displacement.
Tulipe’s continued support for these operations reflects its enduring commitment to France and its humanitarian partners. In cooperation with the European Union and other NGOs, Tulipe is reaffirming its central role in the protection of civilians and emergency medical assistance in Lebanon and other regions of the world such as Chad, Madagascar, Burma and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
