Tulipe’s donation, which was supervised on arrival by the United Nations, was used to supply hospitals and health centres run mainly by the Syrian Red Crescent. This emergency health aid has made it possible to treat around 500 severely wounded and 15,000 lightly wounded, as Eastern Ghouta suffered a deluge of fire from the regime in March-April before surrendering after a five-year siege.
Syria has been the main beneficiary of Tulipe’s aid since 2014. A new donation is due to be made in October.
